Bryan's Peach Cobbler

I want to begin this post by saying that my husband is extremely talented at many, MANY things. He's too humble to talk about it but he's a great musician, natural photographer, computer genius, and yes, the best cook and baker in the house.

Just a little while after we got home from our peach picking adventure, he was ready to make some peach cobbler. It is his favorite dessert! If you want the recipe that he uses, it's from Paula Deen. Here's the link:

Here are a few pictures of Bryan at work in the kitchen (he helped me take the pictures too!)

First he peeled and cut up the peaches:

And then he boiled the water, sugar and peaches together to create the yummiest peaches in syrup ever!
He melted the butter in the microwave
Next, it was time to make the batter. The batter turns into the "crust" of the cobbler, but it's much different than just putting a crust on top. You'll see.....

The batter then gets poured on top of the butter in the baking dish. It seems a little backwards, but believe me, it's the right thing to do!
The peaches and the syrup go on top of that:
After about half an hour in the oven, we had this DELICIOUSNESS to enjoy.
My husband is the bee's knees <3
